The Living Room Cafe is a social enterprise managed by Sunlight Development Trust.
This means that unlike most high street cafes, all of our profits are invested into supporting community projects in Medway.

So when you enjoy one of our coffees, not only is it supporting fairtrade but the local community too.

The Menu
The café provides an interesting and nutritionally balanced menu. Whether it's organic snack bars and fruit juices or homemade soups and smoothies, we always try our best to encourage customers to make a healthy choice.

As well as our standard menu, there’s something new on our specials board everyday to tantalise your tastebuds and we always welcome suggestions from our customers.

We always use fair-trade and organic products where possible and rely on local suppliers for deliveries of fresh ingredients.

We also have 5 computers in the cafe area providing low price internet access - just ask at reception.

Due to the Living Room's success as a community cafe, the team have been asked to provide catering for 3 more healthy living centres in the Medway area.

These brand new sites at Rainham, Lordswood and Rochester are now open and with the help of Valuing Medway People aim to provide the same high level of food, customer service and training opportunities to new areas within Medway.
